Christian Dior, a renowned French fashion designer, gained fame for his “New Look,” which revolutionized women’s fashion in 1947 by introducing voluminous dresses that accentuated the feminine figure. Before establishing his own brand, Dior worked with notable figures in the fashion and perfume industries such as Robert Piguet and Lucien Lelong. In addition to fashion, the house of Dior launched Parfums Dior in 1947, releasing its first fragrance, Miss Dior, named after Dior’s sister. Today, Christian Dior serves as the primary holding company of the multinational luxury conglomerate LVMH.
