Dior

Christian Dior, a renowned French fashion designer, gained fame for his “New Look,” which revolutionized women’s fashion in 1947 by introducing voluminous dresses that accentuated the feminine figure. Before establishing his own brand, Dior worked with notable figures in the fashion and perfume industries such as Robert Piguet and Lucien Lelong. The introduction of the “New Look” marked a departure from the fabric-conserving styles of World War II and reaffirmed Paris as a global fashion hub.

In addition to fashion, the house of Dior launched Parfums Dior in 1947, releasing its first fragrance, Miss Dior, named after Dior’s sister. Despite Dior’s passing in 1957, his fashion and perfume houses continue his legacy. The Dior brand is celebrated worldwide for its haute couture, ready-to-wear collections, cosmetics, and fragrances. Today, Christian Dior serves as the primary holding company of the multinational luxury conglomerate LVMH.

Dior’s perfume legacy comprises an extensive line of 275 fragrances developed in collaboration with various renowned perfumers.
